Jane Belau has been a piano volunteer at Mayo Clinic since corporate retirement in two thousand; she organized Gonda Singers; was advocate for handicapped individuals in the seventies; organized the National conference of Developmental Disabilities; was chairman/member of HRA, Olmsted County planning and zoning, and other boards and commissions at state, local and federal level. Jane started her half hour weekly local project program on cable in 1974 which continues to this day (two years before c-span, now the longest running program of its kind in the United States); all the while producing quality marketable art works which are currently in collections of Radisson hotels, Kahler hotel, Olmsted medical group, Banks, Samaritan Bethany Homes, Control Data and Ceridian corporations and numerous other public and private collections around the world. Jane accomplished all this while being a wife, mother, grandmother and now great grandmother.
