A Minnesota native, Bernadine, as a Rochester Franciscan Sister, served as teacher, adult catechist, parish administrator, and poverty worker in Minnesota and South Carolina.
Bernadine became interested in the importance of the arts (photography and watercolor) in her ministries of spiritual development, and attended a wide variety of conferences and workshops to develop her skills.
Reflecting on the role of her art as a centering and integrating process, Bernadine chose the creation of circular MANDALAS as her primary focus. Her works feature hand-drawn and painted interior designs within fixed circles.
Bernadine is a member of SEMVA (Southeastern MN Visual Artists). She also shows her works at the Assisi Heights gift shop and the Olmsted Medical Center.
