I have been an artist all my life and fell in love with watercolor at a young age. I’ve had the privilege to study the medium with talented instructors during my high school career, in college and beyond. I enjoy using watercolor because it is free flowing and when it touches the paper it takes on a life and personality all its own. It’s exciting to explore light and shadow to make a painting come to life. Everything floral, barns, landscapes and still lifes are the subjects that interest me most. From a fragrant bouquet of lilacs to a tranquil scene by Lake Pepin, where my family enjoys camping during the summer months, I strive to capture the beautiful essence of the subject in my work. I am very pleased to make my paintings, prints, note cards, and jewelry available for sale to SEMVA patrons.
